Manor House
This grand two-story stone house with a slate roof and wooden porch seems out of place in the forest village. The house sits to the front of other smaller buildings and fields of crops. The front door is wide and painted in a deep green, flanked by gardens that overflow with blooms.
Smith
The main house is a sturdy single-story structure, its timbers darkened by soot from the nearby forge. A wooden fence connects the house to the open-air workshop, where tools and weapons are shaped over roaring flames.
Corral
The barn appears to be newly built. Its walls are made of fresh-hewn lumber. Its large, open, double doors reveal many horse stalls lay within.
The large adjacent corral also appears quite new. Its tall open fencing reveals several horses exercising.
Mercantile Building
This large two-story freshly constructed building hosts an ornate shingled roof. This appears to be a merchant guild. Though it seems devoid of the common trappings you've seen in other such guild houses. Its presence seems oddly out of place in this forest village.
House
This appears to be a well-crafted, well-kept, newly constructed, single-story home. The walkway to its door is decorated with painted rocks and a small garden of vegetables and herbs line both sides of the building.
Trading Post
This large and weathered single-story wooden building sits to the north of the trail junction. Its red tile roof makes it unique compared to the other buildings in the village. Hanging near the corner, a wooden sign depicts a rope crossed with a shovel. This is undoubtedly the village trading post, where travelers and locals alike replenish their supplies. On a low porch at the front of the building, stacks of crates sit alongside barrels filled with tools like shovels and pickaxes, standing upright and ready for use.
Shed
This building appears to be a small barn of some sort. It hosts two large wooden doors and no windows. The walls appear to be a thick wattle & daub design and the roof is built with strangely thick wooden shingles.
Tavern
This small, stilted building, appears old. Its two stories are built of old, weathered wood, and topped by a thatched roof. It has a far different feel than the other buildings in the area - or the hamlet. Near the door is a wooden sign depicting a drinking mug, under the mug, words were once present, though they've long since been worn away.
Seamstress
This wattle and daub two-story building is well-built and well-kept. There are several small gardens, each hosting a different herb or vegetable. Near the door is a wooden sign depicting a needle and spool of thread, under the image, the word, "Claire," is painted.
Abandoned House
This single-story timber frame house appears abandoned. Grass grows wildly around its walls, and several of the shingles on its roof have been removed. The door, warped, leans forward sharply.
Apothecary
This wattle and daub single-story building is well-built and well-kept. Unlike other buildings you've noticed, the walls have an ashlar stone base. There are two large gardens, each hosting several different herbs behind the house. Near the door is a wooden sign depicting a Mortar and pestle.
Carpenter
This timber-frame single-story building is well-built and well-kept. The area around the building is littered with fallen trees in various states of dressing. Multiple piles of sawdust form 1-2 foot high hills, and planks of wood, of various shapes, and sizes, are stacked 6-7 feet high, forming a near maze of lumber.
Abandoned House
This single-story timber frame house appears abandoned. Grass grows wildly around its walls.
House
This appears to be a well-crafted, well-kept, newly constructed two-story home. The area around the house has a faint foul aroma. It hangs in the air, though not overpowering, nor does it flow from any noticeable direction, yet it's still there. Near the door is a wooden sign depicting a cleaver.
Barn
The barn appears sturdy but stands in sharp contrast to the newer buildings nearby. Its walls are made of weathered wooden planks, now gray and rough with past repairs. An open window near the steeply pitched roof seems to show a second floor above the large worn and heavy double doors.
